1. Who is selling
The works shown on this website are sold by Jardim Idílico Unipessoal Lda, tax ID (NIF) PT518764532, registered address Rua da Póvoa, n.º 775, Fração L, Zona Industrial de Amorim, 4495-121 Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal, email caravel@caravelsuite.com (“we”).
These terms apply to purchases made through this website. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you.
2. The works
Each work is an original hand-painted by the artist Karla: it is a unique piece, not a reproduction. Each work comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
We show real photographs of each work, from the front, in detail and in the studio. Colours may vary slightly depending on the screen and the light. The texture, relief, small irregularities and natural elements (such as leaves or threads) are part of the work and are described on each work’s page.
3. Prices and shipping
Prices are in euros and include VAT at the applicable legal rate.
Shipping is free to mainland Portugal. For the Autonomous Regions (Azores and Madeira) and other European Union countries, shipping costs are calculated according to the destination and stated in our reply to your request, before any payment.
4. How to buy
To buy, use the “Buy this work” button and send the request form. Sending the form does not commit you to anything and does not involve any payment.
We reply within 24 hours with the total price (work and shipping, if any), the secure payment methods and the delivery time. The work is reserved for you for 48 hours from when you send your request.
The purchase is complete when, after receiving our confirmation of the total price, you make the payment. We will email you the purchase confirmation, these terms and the invoice.
5. Delivery
The work is packed with suitable protection and sent by courier once payment has been confirmed. The delivery time is stated in our reply and never exceeds 30 days from the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.
The risk of loss of or damage to the work only passes to you when you receive it. If the package arrives damaged, please record this with the courier and contact us as soon as possible, with photographs.
6. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February. The period runs from the day on which you receive the work (or on which a third party indicated by you, other than the carrier, receives it).
To exercise this right, simply send us a clear statement of your decision, for example by email to caravel@caravelsuite.com. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not compulsory.
We will refund all payments received, including the initial delivery costs (except any additional costs arising from your choice of a more expensive delivery method), within 14 days from the date on which we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you. We may withhold the refund until we have received the work back or until you have supplied proof of having sent it, whichever is earlier.
You must return the work in good condition, with the certificate of authenticity and well packed (preferably in the original packaging), within 14 days from communicating your decision. The direct cost of returning it is borne by you; as this is a large and fragile work, we can give you an estimate in advance. You are only liable for any diminished value of the work resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.

7. Guarantee
If you are a consumer, you benefit from the 3-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, under Portuguese Decree-Law No. 84/2021 of 18 October. If the work does not match its description, you are entitled, under the law, to have it brought into conformity, to a price reduction or to terminate the contract. As this is a unique piece, replacement with an identical one is not possible.
The characteristics inherent to an original painting described on the work’s page (relief, texture, small irregularities, incorporated natural elements) do not constitute a lack of conformity.

8. Complaints and dispute resolution
You may file a complaint in the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) at www.livroreclamacoes.pt, or contact us directly.
In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body: [TO BE CONFIRMED]. More information is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer resident in another European Union country, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country. In the event of any discrepancy between translations, the Portuguese version prevails.
